About the school

A quiet institution, since 1959.

Our mission, vision, and the values that have guided generations of Wendy students.

Our story

Sixty-seven years of small, honest work.

Established in 1959, The Wendy School marks 67 years of quiet, consistent education in the heart of Parsi Colony, Karachi. We've never been the loudest school on the block — and we've never tried to be.

What we've done, year after year, is encourage children to develop leadership qualities and nurture an environment in which a child can grow and thrive. That's the whole brief. Everything else is detail.

We promote values of honesty, integrity, responsibility and creativity. With a unique curriculum and dedicated faculty, our program helps students maximise their potential in communication, independence, physical movement, problem solving and social interaction.

Mission

What we do

To provide transformative educational experiences that empower students to become thoughtful, capable, and compassionate leaders.

Vision

Where we're going

To be recognised as an institution that balances academic excellence with character development, preparing students for meaningful contributions to society.

Five quiet promises

Our values

01

Integrity

Doing the right thing when no one's watching.

02

Excellence

High standards, gently held — never harshly enforced.

03

Collaboration

Real learning happens with others, not at them.

04

Innovation

Curiosity that asks better questions, not faster ones.

05

Compassion

Kindness as the floor, not the ceiling.

A short history

Then, and still.

1959

The first chapter

Wendy opens its doors in Clifton with a single classroom and a borrowed blackboard.

1972

The Junior Section

Growing demand from families leads to a dedicated junior wing — and our first sports field.

1985

Senior Section opens

Wendy becomes a full K–12 institution. The first cohort of seniors graduates two years later.

2003

The Wendy Montessori

A purpose-built early years section — library, AV room, and our first music room.

2018

Inter-school debut

Senior debate team places at the Karachi Schools Cup. Sports Day becomes an annual fixture.

2026

67 years strong

Three sections, hundreds of alumni across the world, and a quiet sense of arriving — not finishing.

The people

Educators, not just teachers.

Faculty here stay. Many of them, for decades. Most know your child by their questions before their report card.
